Welcome to another minute mental prayer. First of all, let's ask Our Blessed Lord to enlighten us and guide us to greater truth, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen +

Now, let's think about these reflections for a few moments while meditating on this quote:

"Stand steadfast, therefore, you who work righteousness, and doubt not, that your passage may be with the holy angels."

Shepherd of Hermas. Book 1. Vision 2. Chapter 2.

How can you be more steadfast in following Jesus? What is righteousness according to the Gospels? What does it mean to walk with the holy angels?

Take one of the questions above and think deeply about it. Inside each reflection are a hundred more. But I'm just giving you a few ideas to get started. Righteousness is not easy to find. Many people claim to be righteous, but they are just saying that to look good. They are, as Jesus once said, whitewashed sepulchers. In other words, they look beautiful on the outside, but are rotten and dead- on the inside. This is exactly how Satan comes to you. He comes with promises of fame, power, money. What he doesn't tell you is that it will cost you your soul. Don't become a whitewashed sepulcher. Be clean and holy on the inside and out. You won't regret it.

Now, let's thank God for his enlightenment, mercy, and forgiveness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen +
