Welcome to another minute mental prayer. First of all, let's ask Our Blessed Lord to enlighten us and guide us to greater truth, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen +

Now, let's think about these reflections for a few moments while meditating on this quote:

"Let Him stand for you as a defender, as a good shepherd, lest the fierce wolves assault you."

Saint Ambrose

What does this quote mean to you? What lesson can you learn based on this quote? What virtue can you practice based on this quote?

Here is a short reading from the Shepherd of Hermas which is related to this reflection: “But fear not the devil; for, fearing the Lord, you will have dominion over the devil, for there is no power in him. But he in whom there is no power ought on no account to be an object of fear; but He in whom there is glorious power is truly to be feared. For every one that has power ought to be feared; but he who has not power is despised by all. Fear, therefore, the deeds of the devil, since they are wicked. For, fearing the Lord, you will not do these deeds, but will refrain from them.”

Now, let's thank God for his enlightenment, mercy, and forgiveness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen ✝️
