Ethiopian angels are featured prominently in Ethiopian Christian art and architecture. They can be found in the form of paintings, statues, and frescos in churches such as Debre Berham Selassie / Trinity at the Mount of Light church, Debre Birhan Selassie Church, and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa.
The Ethiopian Biblical Manuscripts are housed in the Abba Garima Monastery in Ethiopia and are not known to have ever left the monastery. They are primarily written in Ge'ez, an Ethiopian liturgical language, and are believed to be the earliest known illuminated Biblical Gospel manuscripts. The manuscripts published by the British Library are not under copyright under Ethiopian law, and traditional manuscript production and preservation occurs in monasteries and churches across Ethiopia.
