Details:

Denis-Auguste Affre (September 27, 1793 – June 27, 1848) was a French Catholic Archbishop of Paris from 1840 until 1848. During the June Days uprising of 1848, he was assassinated while attempting to broker a peace treaty.

His canonization process has begun, and he is regarded as a Servant of God by the Catholic Church.
