The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is a Catholic cathedral located in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is regarded as one of the finest examples of church architecture in Australasia and is designed by architect Francis Petre, a New Zealand-born architect working out of Dunedin. It is considered to be the southern bastion of Irish Catholicism and was photographed by Charles James Fearnley in 1915-1988.
