The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament is a Catholic cathedral located in Christchurch, New Zealand[1]. It is regarded as one of the finest examples of church architecture in Australasia[2] and is designed by architect Francis Petre, a New Zealand-born architect working out of Dunedin[3]. It is considered to be the southern bastion of Irish Catholicism[4] and was photographed by Charles James Fearnley in 1915-1988[5].
