The Acies is a very significant event within the Legion of Mary, held annually. It is the renewal of the legionaries' consecration to Mary, based on the True Devotion as taught by Saint Louis Marie de Montfort. This act symbolizes their union and dependence on Mary, their Queen and Mother, and expresses their desire to work with and for Jesus through her. The Acies is a manifestation of the faith and commitment of the Legion's members to their mission and to Mary as their guide and protector.
