Baptismal font of the Nativity of Mary, Blessed Virgin Catholic Church, also known as the St. Mary Catholic Church, in High Hill, a little community near Schulenburg in Fayette County, Texas. Built in 1906, the church is considered the "queen" of what Texans call their "painted churches." It is one of the first churches built by noted Texas architect, Leo M.J. Dielmann. The decorative paintings were executed by Ferdinand Stockert and Hermann Kern in 1912.
